FAQs

What are your rates and accepted forms of payment?

Individual:

My standard session fee is $210. I accept credit cards as well as FSA/HSA. A sliding scale based on annual income may be considered for clients who experience financial hardship. Please reach out for more information.

Do you accept health insurance?

Although I do not accept health insurance, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for "out-of-network" reimbursement. Depending on your plan, some or all of your session fee may be reimbursed. I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?

  • What is my coinsurance for out-of-network mental health services?

  • Is there a limit on the number of sessions covered each year?

  • What is the reimbursement amount for each session?

  • Is a referral or prior authorization required?

You are responsible for payment at the time of service and can then submit your superbill to your insurance company for any reimbursement available through your plan.

Are there any benefits for paying out of pocket?

Insurance companies mandate a diagnosis, oversee your health records, and may seek access to your information while in therapy. They also may limit your coverage to a set number of therapy sessions per year, regardless of what you're going through. When considering the implications of using insurance, paying out-of-pocket is a better fit for some. Please feel free to call me to further discuss any questions.

Who do you work with?

I work individually with adults ages 18 and older. I welcome people of all racial-ethnic identities, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and body sizes to my practice.

Are sessions held in person or virtually?

My practice is fully remote, so you can join sessions from the comfort of your home. Sessions are conducted via a HIPAA-compliant video platform.

How often will we meet and for how long?

We will meet once a week during a consistent time slot. Consistency is important for building a strong therapeutic relationship, which is central to our work together and, like all relationships, takes time and care to grow. If you are ready to invest in long-lasting change rather than quick fixes that only address the surface, we may be a great fit! The length of therapy will vary, though I typically work with clients for at least 6 months to 1 year.

I’m interested! What should I do next?

Reach out to schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. This will give you an opportunity to share a little about what brings you to therapy and ask any questions you may have. From there, we may schedule an intake, where I can learn more about you and what you are looking for from therapy, and we can determine whether we feel like a good fit to work together.
